A Long and Confusing List of Symptoms

Here’s a list of the symptoms that I have experienced since December 2014 when my adrenals crashed for the second time in my life. I have to remind that almost half of those symptoms were in total contradiction to my vegan lifestyle . They are listed in the order that they showed up when I realized something was wrong.

  • Sudden weight gain
  • Sudden hypertension
  • Bloating
  • Hair thinning
  • Mild but constant fatigue
  • Skin rashes
  • Pale skin
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Difficulty staying asleep
  • Anxiety
  • Mild memory loss
  • Inability to lose weight
  • Inability to focus

I didn’t pay attention to the warning signs,I didn’t even had a clue of what was going on. I remember I had ask my father, who used to be a doctor but he retired 20 years ago,why I had gained so much weight with no significant changes in my dietary habits and he told me to stop eating(sic)

The more I worked out the more weight I gained and the more symptoms were showing up.I was jogging for 5 kilometers and the very next day I would be two kgms plus. From 48 kilos I jumped to 70 within a year.

Then it got more serious. In retrospective I realized that I must have had entered stage 3.

  • I got shorter by 5 centimeters. Seriously.

The nurse measured my height two months ago, when I had a bone density testing. The results came back negative for osteoporosis,in fact I had 18% plus bone density for women of my age, that is 48 years old,yet I had lost 5 centimeters of my height.Seriously

Of course that is only a long list of typed words. You might be wondering how is it possible to survive all the above with no medical help and be well enough to sit down and type. I don’t have  a clue.I was convinced I was dying.I can reassure you that this list of words was and still is my worst nightmare. Even though I have recovered a little and even though I have read the same list in most of the websites about adrenal fatigue, it is still terrifying to me to the same extend as it was when I went through all that for the first time in 1992.

I don’t even know where I found the strength amid this chaos in my life,to start researching, educating and fixing myself. Or fix what could be fixed.

If you are here because you’re suspecting that your adrenals are failing, you can leave your comments below. I wish you a speedy and full recovery
